Project Overview Situated at the headquarters of a leading institution in Turkey’s energy sector in Sarıyer, Istanbul, this 70.4 kWp rooftop system demonstrates a commitment to sustainability from the very core of the market. The project utilizes a specialized flat-roof mounting structure to integrate 220 PV modules, directly powering the facility’s operations with clean energy.
The Challenge The project required a precise installation on a flat roof within an active corporate campus. The challenge was to design a mounting system that ensures structural stability against wind loads and water tightness without penetrating the roof membrane, while also optimizing the tilt angle for Istanbul’s specific latitude to maximize self-consumption.
The Solution Solarexen executed a high-precision Turnkey EPC solution tailored for flat roofs. We installed 220 units of 320 Wp photovoltaic panels using an aerodynamic mounting structure. The energy conversion is managed by a single, high-efficiency 50 kW inverter, ensuring a streamlined connection to the building’s main distribution panel and seamless integration with the internal grid.
Key Impact Generating approximately 84,500 kWh annually, this project serves as both a practical energy source and a symbolic benchmark for the sector. It offsets 39 tons of carbon emissions yearly—equivalent to saving 117 trees—proving that strategic rooftop applications play a vital role in corporate decarbonization targets.
