Project Overview Located in the high-potential solar zone of Derbent, Konya, this 1.8 MWp facility was commissioned in November 2020. Distinguishing itself with advanced technology, the project utilizes an Automatic Tracker System rather than static mounting. By integrating 5,664 PV modules that dynamically follow the sun’s path, the plant maximizes irradiation capture and delivers superior energy generation to the grid.
The Challenge The objective was to exceed standard production curves in a region with excellent solar resources. The challenge lay in implementing a dynamic tracking infrastructure that requires more complex mechanical stability and precise calibration than fixed systems, ensuring the plant operates at peak performance ratio (PR) throughout the day without mechanical downtime.
The Solution Solarexen delivered a high-tech Engineering and EPC solution by deploying an Automatic Solar Tracker System. This technology adjusts panel angles in real-time, significantly boosting the specific yield compared to fixed-tilt installations. We expertly integrated 3 generation blocks (totaling 1.5 MWe AC) with 12 high-capacity inverters, creating a smart energy ecosystem that optimizes output from dawn to dusk.
Key Impact Thanks to the tracking technology, the plant generates an impressive 2,950,800 kWh annually. This efficiency prevents 1,364.45 tons of CO2 emissions each year—equivalent to the ecological contribution of 4,093 trees—demonstrating how advanced engineering directly correlates with higher environmental and financial returns.
