  • İstanbul, Türkiye– 712.8 kWp Roof Solar Power Plant

Project Overview Located in Sancaktepe, a rapidly developing industrial district in Istanbul, this 712.8 kWp rooftop solar facility exemplifies the shift towards industrial energy independence. Installed on a pitched roof structure, the system leverages 1,296 high-efficiency next-generation modules to significantly reduce operational costs and minimize the facility’s carbon footprint.

The Challenge The primary challenge was to integrate a high-capacity energy system onto an existing pitched roof structure without compromising structural integrity or waterproofing. Additionally, the project required precise engineering to maximize self-consumption efficiency within an active industrial facility, necessitating a design that optimizes yield despite the specific inclination constraints of the building.

The Solution Solarexen delivered a specialized Turnkey EPC solution for industrial roofing. We utilized 1,296 units of 550 Wp panels, specifically selected for high power density. The electrical architecture is built on a decentralized design featuring 12 units of 50 kW inverters. This configuration ensures granular performance monitoring and maximum system uptime, seamlessly integrating with the facility’s internal grid.

Key Impact Projected to generate approximately 855,000 kWh annually, the plant drastically lowers grid dependency for the facility. Environmentally, it offsets 396 tons of CO2 emissions per year—equivalent to the ecological benefit of 1,188 trees—demonstrating a solid commitment to a sustainable, low-carbon industrial future
