  • İstanbul, Türkiye– 377.6 kWp Roof Solar Power Plant

Project Overview Completed in June 2020 in Sancaktepe, Istanbul, this 377.6 kWp rooftop system powers a major logistics hub. By utilizing a pitched roof mounting design, the project integrates 1,180 photovoltaic modules to drive energy efficiency in supply chain operations, marking a successful transition to sustainable energy in the logistics sector.

The Challenge The main objective was to reduce the high operational energy costs associated with large-scale logistics storage and distribution. The challenge lay in installing a robust energy system on an expansive pitched roof surface while ensuring zero disruption to the continuous flow of goods and maintaining strict safety protocols inherent to supply chain management.

The Solution Solarexen delivered a Turnkey EPC solution specifically designed for the logistics sector. We installed 1,180 units of 320 Wp panels using a load-optimized pitched roof mounting structure. The system is powered by 3 units of 90 kW inverters, creating a streamlined AC conversion (270 kWe) that seamlessly supports the facility’s internal load demands.

Key Impact Generating approximately 415,280 kWh annually, the plant significantly lowers grid dependency. Environmentally, it prevents 191.71 tons of CO2 emissions per year—equivalent to saving 575 trees—positioning the facility as a leader in the green transformation of the logistics industry.
