Project Overview Located in Ceyhan, Adana—Turkey’s strategic energy hub—this 678.7 kWp rooftop facility powers a critical infrastructure complex. The project demonstrates the viability of renewable integration within the heavy energy sector. Utilizing a specialized flat-roof mounting application, the system hosts 1,234 high-power (550 Wp) PV modules to deliver efficient, decentralized energy generation.
The Challenge The primary challenge was to retrofit a renewable energy system onto the flat roof of a strategic facility without compromising its waterproofing or structural limitations. Additionally, operating in Ceyhan’s high-temperature climate required a system design that mitigates thermal losses while maintaining high safety standards inherent to critical energy infrastructure zones.
The Solution Solarexen delivered a high-spec Turnkey EPC solution utilizing an aerodynamic flat-roof mounting system to ensure stability against wind loads without invasive anchoring. We deployed 1,234 units of 550 Wp next-generation panels for maximum power density. The system architecture features 17 decentralized inverters, providing granular maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and superior system redundancy compared to central inverters.
Key Impact This project serves as a benchmark for the energy transition within the fossil-fuel-dominated infrastructure sector. By generating high-yield clean energy directly at the point of consumption, the facility significantly reduces its operational carbon footprint and reinforces energy security through diversification.
